I have been searching for the perfect chocolate muffin recipe for a quit a while. I was looking for a chocolate muffin that has a deep chocolate flavour, is moist, but has the texture of a muffin rather than a cupcake. My search is finally over.
Nothing worse than a gloomy late Summer's day stuck in an office when alI you want to do is be at home baking something nice and fragrant. Although it is not Autumn yet today surely felt like it. And that brought about my apple and cinnamon craving!
A crowd-pleaser and fool-proof recipe that you can prepare with your little ones. This is the kind of dessert that will make you close your eyes and savour every spoonful. Just don't ruin it all by counting the calories though!
Are you feeling too hot to turn on the oven? Too tired to prepare complicated meals that leave your sink full of dirty pans? I feel you! This pasta salad is ideal for a quick mid-week dinner. You can also prepare an extra portion to take with you to work the day after! Awesome right?
This is a very simple recipe which I love to prepare for Summer parties and BQQs. These sausages are guaranteed crowd pleasers. What's there not to love about sausages!
I had two main excuses for baking these cookies apart for a chocolate craving. I wanted to take my mind off work and I wanted to try out my new 35mm lens which I got for my birthday from my other half :) These cookies are aesthetically pleasing in a weird rugged way and I was very eager to check them out. Now that I have seen the results and tasted these cookies I give them full points! They are unbelievably light and airy with a deep chocolaty taste, yum!
These muffins are really easy and fast to put together. A plain vanilla muffin with a lovely chocolate and caramel centre thanks to the hidden Caramel Egg inside. They are fun to bake with kids especially at Easter time.
If Chinese food makes you think of heavy fried food then you need to learn a thing or two about real Chinese cuisine. Thanks to a Chinese friend I had back when I was studying, I discovered what Chinese cuisine was all about (ok not all!). In this soup I decided to use two types of dried black fungus I bought a while ago out of curiosity. (More info about Black Fungus below)
These are by far the most amazing chocolate cookies I have ever tasted. They are insanely chocolatey. The kind that melt in your mouth and shoots you up to chocolate heaven! :D Not only that but your house will smell divine while they are baking!
This is one of my favourite healthy-ish desserts. It is great that it contains no fats and I decided to make it sugar-free this time but you can make it as you prefer. There is nothing cakey about this recipe. The cake mixture is basically just there to bind the apples. This is all about apples, apples, apples! And the wonderful taste comes from the whisky which gives it an unusual depth.
When it's all rainy and cold as it is right now, one often craves hearty comforting food. Cottage Pie ticks all the boxes for me! Far from being a fancy posh meal, this is definitely a great-value meal and a crowd-pleaser.
This is my healthy version of the famous Coffee Gateau also known as Gateau Marie, Coffee Mousse and Mama's Cake. You don't have to be on a particular diet to try this dessert as I can assure you it is just as decadent. You will have to stop yourself from licking all the bowls clean ;)
