::: Turkish Manti :::

This is a really quick pasta dish that you will put together in a couple of minutes. I just love how simple yet amazingly flavourful this dish is. Next time I will try this recipe with the real homemade manti (meat ravioli). Can't imagine how even more amazing it could taste!
  • 500g mini fresh/frozen meat ravioli/tortellini
  • 1 cup drained yogurt or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 ½ tbsp dried mint
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Sumac spice (optional)
  • 1 tsp sugar 
  • 1/2 tsp dried chili flakes (optional)

In a small bowl mix the minced garlic with the yogurt and put in the fridge for later.

Put the tomato paste along with mint, sumac, sugar and chili flakes in a pan on high heat and mix for a few seconds. Then add the olive oil and take the pan off the heat.

Meanwhile boil the meat ravioli according to the instructions on the package and drain well.

Serve the ravioli topped with the garlic yogurt mixture and a drizzle of the spicy tomato sauce.

Serving Suggestion: You can also fry the ravioli in butter after boiling them for that extra kick.
