::: Mexican Beef Burritos :::


  • 1 packet large tortilla wraps
  • 500gr minced beef
  • 1 cup red kidney beans, cooked
  • 120ml water
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 120gr cheddar/emmental cheese, grated 
  • 1 jar Salsa Dip mild

Cook minced beef until brown and add the red kidney beans.

Add the packet of Taco Seasoning to the beef and add the water.and simmer for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
If you see that the mixture is still watery add 1 tbsp of flour and the beef mixture will thicken in a few seconds.
Take the tortilla wraps one by one and divide the beef mixture between the 6 wraps.

Close the wraps well and place in a dish.

Cover with the grated cheese and pop in the oven for few minutes until the cheese melts and starts to become golden.

Serve burritos on a bed of lettuce and some salsa on top. Mmm..enjoy!

Serving suggestion: If you want to go a bit further and make a Mexican night out of this meal (like I did!) serve your guests/bf some nacho tortilla chips topped with salsa and a bottle of Corona beer while they wait. ;)
